The 409th Contracting Support Brigade provides enhanced readiness and operational capacity for U.S. and Partner Forces in the European Theater by delivering the power of Army contracting to leverage commercial capability and provide business advice to support sustaining, shaping, and decisive operations in order to maintain a strong Europe.

The 409th CSB provides accountable and agile business options with precision to our supported commands and stakeholders as an indispensable partner in enabling readiness and mission success.

Defender 23 ROC Drill - On April 5, 2023 409th CSB conducted a Defender 23 ROC Drill at the Sembach Movie Theater led by the Future Operations Officer. This ROC drill was the culminating event prior to execution. Leaders from 928th Contracting Battalion, Theater Contracting Center and 918th Contracting Battalion were in attendance. Each unit briefed about personnel movements and contracting support provided by them during execution.

Volksmarch - The 409th CSB HQs and Theater Contracting Center (TCC) conducted a Volksmarch (2 and 5 miles routes) for the second time in two years on May 4th, 2023 at Bremer HOF to promote Family fun and team building.

Army Contracting Command External Evaluation - Members of the 409th Contracting Support Brigade assessed their ability to provide acquisition support throughout the European theater while exercising their readiness posture during an Army Contracting Command External Evaluation on March 10, 2023 at the Sembach Education Center.

Black History Month observance - The 409th CSB hosted a Black History Month observance “Inspiring Change” on February 28, 2023 at the Sembach Education Center with guest speaker Dr. Tchicaya-Missamou. He took the audience on a journey of personal heartache and triumph, inspiration, black history and leadership. Dr. Tchicaya-Missamou’s energy, knowledge, personable skills and story telling is unmatched. The observance ended with a question and answer session which allowed the audience to dive deeper into Black History as well as his life.

SSG McDaniels at the ACC Best Warrior Competition - SSG McDaniels representing the 409th CSB at the ACC Best Warrior Competition on May 11, 2023 at the Tennessee National Guard Tullahoma Training Site. She made it through an 8 mile ruck march (25 pounds w/weapons), qualification range, board, night land navigation, written exam, obstacle course, and an Army Combat Fitness Test. The 409th CSB is extremely proud of her accomplishments.
